Hand-ranking terms

Trail or trio: Three cards of the same rank, such as 8-8-8.
Pure sequence: Three consecutive cards of the same suit.
Sequence: Three consecutive cards that use more than one suit.
Color: Three cards of one suit that are not consecutive.
Pair: Two cards of the same rank plus one unmatched card.
High card: A hand that does not form any stronger category; cards are compared from highest downward.

Dealer: The person who shuffles and distributes the cards for a round.
Deal: The act of distributing three cards to each participant.
Seen: A format or state in which a participant has viewed their cards.
Blind: A format or state in which cards remain unviewed for an agreed period.
Show or comparison: The point at which remaining hands are revealed and ranked.
Tie-break: The agreed method for comparing two hands in the same category.
House rule: A local rule chosen by the group rather than a universally fixed rule.
Misdeal: A deal affected by an error such as the wrong number of cards or an exposed card.

Non-monetary play: A social format using no cash stake, deposit, withdrawal or prize of financial value.
APK: An Android application package. Review its source, hash, permissions and device warnings before manual installation.
SHA-256: A checksum used to confirm that a downloaded file matches a specific published file.
